Class Descriptions



This is the perfect place to begin if you are new to yoga or want to refresh the fundamental foundation of your hatha yoga practice. This class cultivates a deeper awareness of the postures and conscious breathing in combination with mindfulness to develop strength, flexibility, balance and relaxation. This class encourages proper alignment of the body ensuring students are moving safely and feel comfortable in each class.

Ashtanga Short Form

Is a shortened sequence of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois' full Primary Series. It is a physical practice connecting movement and breath that builds heat within the core and extends out into the body. Ashtanga Short Form is a good practice for new and experienced yogis. The first 40 minutes we practice a standing sequence (which includes 5 Sun As and 5 Sun Bs) followed by a seated sequence where the postures will vary.

Candlelight Yin Yoga w/Massage

This candlelit experience is designed to create openness in the body stretching the connective tissues in a passive manner with resting poses using props for support while incorporating breathing techniques to create deep relaxation. The instructor of this gentle practice will guide each student into deeper surrender accompanied by a massage therapist whose brief hands-on massage creates a truly restorative experience. All levels and abilities are welcome./p>

Happy Hour/Karma Yoga

This class will offer Yoga to the community at a reduced rate of $6.00 per class. It is a mixed level class.

Gentle Yoga w/15 min of Meditation

Begin this class with 45 minutes of Gentle Yoga and then allow yourself to embark on a 15-minute meditative journey to calm the body and mind.

Mixed Level

Mixed levels is a class where students of all levels can develop strength, balance, and flexibility. Modifications are offered for students of all skill levels so that each student will get the most benefit from his/her practice.

Slow Flow

Less challenging than a vinyasa class and more challenging than a beginner class, in slow flow we take our time moving from one posture to the next. You will learn the fundamental poses to build confidence and strength in your body and mind as we focus on holding the individual postures a little longer in order to work on concentration and integrating breath and postural alignments.


Combining the pace of a vinyasa flow with the restorative benefits of passive yin poses, Vin/Yin will build strength and stamina, as well as increase flexibility by working into the connective tissue and fascia of the body.

Vinyasa Flow

Ideal for students looking to deepen their practice as we flow through a variety of postures from Sun Salutations to balancing, back bending, core strengthening, and inversions. You do not have to be an experienced Yoga practitioner to take this class, all that is asked of you is an open mind and commitment to your own growth as a student.


Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of practice. Suitable for all levels, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine by holding poses for 3 - 5 minutes apiece.

Young at Heart

Yoga for the Young at Heart is a course geared for those 60+ Seniors that want to learn how Yoga helps restore strength and flexibility without straining the joints and muscles of the body. We will offer chairs and props to accommodate all levels of mobility.
